Should I take the items I listed on Vacation?

Well I am leaving for Walt Disney World on Friday and I am thinking about taking my listings with me. I would hate to sell something while I am away and someone would have to wait almost 9 days for me to ship their item. Has anyone else taken their stuff on vacation and how did that work out?

Day 3

Since I started using all the tags available when listing an item I have noticed a slight increase in the amount of views my items are getting. The one thing that I am trying to figure out is how do you know if your items are worth selling or not. I am really new to Etsy and I only have a few feedback and I am sure that does not help with sales but how do you know?

Like I said yesterday I am featuring a new artist everyday until Christmas. So today's featured artist is : sugarbshop

http://www.etsy.com/shop/sugarbshop?ref=seller_info

This seller has cute bags and booties for babies.

If you have an artists that you thinks needs to be highlighted please let me know and I would gladly try to feature them on this blog.

Until tomorrow Happy Crafting......

Day 2

What a great response on my first day blogging. Since yesterday was so uplifting I have decided to feature a new artist daily until Christmas.

I went and read some advice on selling in the forums on Etsy and I have to say the tips were very helpful.

So what is your best piece of advice for new members to the Etsy community?

That is the question of the day.

I think using all 14 tags for your listing is very important and it was something I did not do until yesterday.

Today's features artist is:

elliesgarden

http://www.etsy.com/shop/elliesgarden?ref=pr_faveshops

I came across her items today and she has the cutiest little hair bows and clips.

If you are looking for cute stocking stuffers these would be great.

Until tomorrow Happy Crafting and Please feel free to stop by any of the shops featured here on my blog. Let's help our fellow crafters and artisans this Holiday Season.

First Pick of The Week.

This Etsy Seller does a random acts of Kindness weekly on her blog. This is why she is my first pick of the week.

http://www.etsy.com/shop/inspiredmama75

Thank you for promoting other artists on your blog.

Etsy Shop Journey

I decided to blog about my journey opening a shop on Etsy. Etsy is such an amazing online community where artisans from all walks of life can showcase their work for others to see and purchase.

I discovered Etsy about six months ago when a friend mentioned that they were selling their tye-dye shirts on their and she was doing great. I was a lurker at the site for many months and finally I decided that I could also become a shop owner and join this group of artisans. So I started my shop Natebarn.

To promote my shop and the shops of other artisans I will be posting my picks of the week. I am new to the community and I feel this is a great way to give back and help other artists like my self. I would like to note that I am not connected in anyway with the artisans I showcase in my weekly picks this is just a random act of kindness in hopes to spread the word about Etsy and the artisans who sell there goods through Etsy.

This is my first attempt at blogging in this manner so please let me know what you think.
